Tradition meets modernity
The NT 8 GT table clock impressively demonstrates that classical mechanics is an extremely exciting, limitless subject. So we have taken a completely new approach to the development of the movement of this 7-day runner. The result is an exciting mix of modern design, new materials and colours. Ideas borrowed from automotive and lightweight aviation have been incorporated into the design and these ideas shape the movement in countless ways.

Variations
We offer different possibilities for customization. The movements can be refined in yellow gold, rhodium or rose gold. For the aluminium parts, various anodised colours are available.
Lightweight with filigree details
The entire clockwork with dial and compensation pendulum weighs just 1.5 kg. Not a single excess gram appears on the movement's openworked main plates, which are reminiscent of the filigree skeleton of an airplane wing. They are made of an aluminium alloy and are only reinforced in those places where it is absolutely necessary. The movement frame with its 5 solid pillars is held together by 9 polished hexagon nuts replacing customary screws.
The appearance of the gear train opens up completely new perspectives. With their contemporary spokes, the wheels are based on the filigree aluminium rims of exclusive sports cars. Conventional gear rims made of polished brass are screwed to the aluminium spoke segments. These segments are in turn deeply bowled, giving the wheels a striking visual effect. A view from the side into the mechanics of the NT 8 GT movement is therefore particularly appealing.
Modern design meets classic clockmaking
We have also adopted new concepts with the design of the skeletonized chapter ring. Instead of a printed ring with numerals and minute markers, this table clock captures time geometrically. Each of the four minutes between two 5-minute increments has been given its own small step. The tip of the minute hand passes through these individual steps and the time can thus be read very accurately.
The case of this timepiece blends traditional blown-glass art with its aluminium base. This base has three circumferential grooves inspired by the cylinder head of a classic combustion engine with its distinctive cooling fins. Instead of the cylinder head screws, four small cranks sit at its flared corners. These serve for levelling the clock on its base and serve equally as decorative elements.
Finished surfaces create exciting contrasts
The satin-finished surfaces of the aluminium were blasted with glass beads and the high-gloss polished surfaces of the brass parts of the NT 8 GT table clock form a beautiful contrast and create a wonderful tension. The use of aluminium and the limitless possibility of anodising means that a wide choice of colours is available to buyers. The brass parts receive - depending on the customer's wishes – gilding in yellow gold, rose gold or rhodium. Make your choice!
