Baselworld 2017 - It was just great!
Baselworld 2017 is over - it was a great show! Once again we have managed to delight visitors of this international event with our attractive and luxurious timepieces. Especially our latest table clock NT 10 andour new regulator NR 110 attracted great interest and brought a sparkle to the eyes of trade visitors and enthusiasts. At the AHCI booth in Hall 2.0 we were able to welcome interested national and international visitors from all over the world and we were well motivated by the their positive feedback for our clocks.
Regulator NR 110 - Typically Naeschke
Anyone looking for a classic regulator in the reduced style of the great French precision pendulum clocks will find exactly that in our model NR 110. This regulator embodies all the typical characteristics of a Naeschke longcase clock in a smaller size. Starting with the case, through to the 12-facetted weight-shell up to the pendulum, one can immediately recognize the unmistakable hallmark of our clockworks.
Table clock NT 10 - Month running with ‘maritime’ associations
Today the classic hand-blown glass dome is popular with collectors and museums to present particularly fine and valuable objects in a stylish way which is visible from all sides. It was particularly tempting to combine the old craftsmanship of the glassblowers with our art of clockmaking and to translate this into the finest values of today.
Munichtime 2016 – We have been there!
From October 28th to October 30th, 2016, the world of fine watches and clocks again attracted many lovers and watch enthusiasts to the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. With its impressive and prestigious premises this luxury hotel offered a beautiful frame for the Munichtime. We also have been there as an exhibitor and presented our fine and exclusive timepieces to the interested audience. We are very pleased about the positive feedback. In retrospect, it was a worthwhile event including nice guests and very good conversations. We will be back again next year.
New Matthias Naeschke website is online
We are happy that our newly designed website is online now. Comprehensible, fast and responsive our new site is developed for the latest generation of the world-wide-web.
A complete overhaul of our existing homepage was necessary. The new page presents itself with a completely new look: Large format, brilliant pictures, a tidy structure as well as a clear concept. In addition to the product information on our exclusive timepieces, the visitor receives a lot of interesting information around our manufactory Matthias Naeschke.
Powerhouse with long self-reliance
The table clock NT 12 is proof that the mechanics of clockmaking are limitless. The movement is a real powerhouse. Two weighty barrels together provide nearly 20 kilograms of spring force that pull on a single steel wire of just one millimetre diameter. Thus the entire power is transmitted to the fusee and through it to the going train. A conventional fusee chain would not withstand this enormous burden and break unpredictably. So why does the NT 12 require so much more energy than similar spring-driven movements?
All eyes on the dial
Our new NT 9 table clock is a timepiece of understated elegance. The dial is the highlight of the table clock NT 9. It is entirely hand-made in elaborate and diverse work steps. The matt-blasted and gilded base dial is surrounded by a polished and screwed frame, composed of four individual segments. Engravings in the form of a traditional diamond pattern with flowers engraved in the crossing points which, depending on the angle, refract the light. This creates a wonderful image, always different and creating an illusory depth of view. The round chapter rings for time and date are engine-turned in their centre each by hand with a radiating pattern. Engine-turned patterns surround the minutes.
The manufactory Matthias Naeschke is setting coloured accents
For more than three decades the brand name of Matthias Naeschke stands for exclusivity and the highest quality craftsmanship of clocks, manufactured in small quantities or as unique stand-alone pieces. Actually we are setting radiant rose gold accents with a newly created table clock in the shape of the classic 8-day. The NT 8 catches the eye of the viewer in addition to its exceptional colour - incidentally the first table clock from our manufactory in rose gold - but also due to numerous technical refinements and our artisan expertise.
Entrance hall clock of Waldorf Astoria Hotel Berlin is made in Haigerloch
31 floors, 152 deluxe and superior rooms, 80 suites, stylish restaurants and bars, a light-drenched ballroom with 7 m high ceilings and a lavish spa and wellness area – the newly opened five-star hotel Waldorf Astoria Berlin combines it all in perfection. Of course the entrance hall of this first-class address captivates its guests with an outstanding charm and contemporary design. And following the tradition of the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York it is also equipped with an outstanding clock. This clock with a total height of 2.90 metres has a prominent position in the lobby and was created by the clock manufactory Matthias Naeschke, in cooperation with the supervising Paris design office. An absolute prerequisite for this horological project was to create something, that goes beyond normal requirements for a clock and that lasts for generations.
